I am the Western US and Canada Sales Director for iDirect Technologies. iDirect is the leading provider of broadband over satellite solutions. My first 4 years at iDirect where spent living in England while working as Sales Director for Europe and Russia. A family decision to move back to California in 2005 led to my current position with iDirect as Regional Sales Director, Western US and Canada.

This is my gateway to my online life. It is a place for me to experiment with Web technologies for fun and work. I was motivated by three factors to use more Web technologies as well as start this site and the blogs associated with it. First, I was very active on the Internet in the 1980s and wanted to get involved again. Next, my office mates, bloggers and technologists themselves, Bob and Erik felt that I would enjoy it. Lastly, working on the SEO and SEM for my wife's business, The Crafter's Studio in Santa Cruz California, gave me the final motivation.

After my family, technology is my passion. Keeping up with new technologies, trying out both hardware and software, and finding new ways to use these discoveries in my personal and work life is a pleasurable pass time. I am constantly looking for better ways to stay in touch with my customers, organize the massive and diverse amount of information I must deal with, and find new tools to enhance my on-line life.

My blog, A Digital Nomad, will talk about these experiences as well as a random assortment of interconnected thoughts from my Internet and work life. Since I started using the Internet in 1984 I am going to mix in some history I hope you will find interesting. My second blog will focus on broadband over satellite market, related technologies, and news.
